Baker Ben Fredj was born in Tunisia. After having earned a master’s degree, with specialization in engraving, for teaching Plastic Arts in the late ’80s he set up his first solo exhibition and, after a year’s stay at the Living Arts Center of Rades, he devoted himself exclusively to painting. He has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions in major galleries in several Tunisian and foreign countries (France, Switzerland, Holland, Germany, Morocco, Egypt, Kuwait, China). He has presided over the Union of Tunisian Plastic Artists since 2012.
